The Challenge
ScrollSafe’s core challenge was delivering accurate, real-time “AI-likely” labels on short-form videos without slowing down the browsing experience or compromising user privacy. As users scroll, the extension has to reliably identify the current video, extract the minimum necessary signals in the moment, and trigger a fast classification pipeline, all under tight latency constraints. The result needed to feel instant and lightweight, while working within the limitations of browser extensions and rapidly changing social platform UIs.
