Job Copilot

A Chrome extension connected to the Anthropic API that helps fill out job applications: drafts answers in a chat panel, autofills form fields directly on the page, and generates tailored resumes and cover letters as real .docx files, without leaving the page.

Built during an active job search, after getting frustrated by how slow and repetitive filling out online applications actually is. Job Copilot pairs a Claude-powered chat panel with direct, in-page autofill, so I can draft an answer, fill in a field, or generate a tailored resume and cover letter without leaving the application tab.

The Challenge

Built while actively job-searching, after noticing that existing autofill tools (like the one built into Jobright) manipulate page elements directly rather than relying on a cursor moving around and reading the screen, which is slower and breaks more easily on dynamic layouts. Job Copilot takes the same direct approach, paired with an AI chat panel so I can draft and edit application answers in place rather than switching between tabs.
